RSS’25 Space Robotics Workshop
In recent years, there has been a renewed surge of interest in microgravity and planetary robotics missions using increasingly sophisticated and more capable architectures, with a growing number of autonomous missions flown and proposed. Facing extreme environments, real-time constraints, and limited hardware/compute, these robotic systems need to make increasingly important decisions as they venture into more remote and far-flung environments. Despite recent successes and bold ambitions, there remain crucial challenges and technology gaps in the path ahead for autonomy researchers and practitioners to address. This workshop aims to convene a forum for stakeholders from academia, industry, and research labs to discuss these challenges ahead.
